This is my favorite time of year and one of the things I love most about Christmas is decorating and wrapping Christmas presents. Last year I got some stuff on clearance at Target to use for wrapping this year. I also made a bunch of tags ans these cute holidat clips for presents. I am having so much fun wrapping presents!
I love the snow and am so happy it's back. I decided to take Dishu with my to pick up Brandon from school when it first started snowing. And of course he had to put on his scarf if he was going to go outside. How cute is he?
Well Halloween was a bust for me and Brandon. My boss wasn't dressing up at work so I didn't and I didn't get to hand out candy to any little kids. But I did get to make this cute cake and cupcake at work, so i guess not all was lost.
These are two clips of it snowing at my house yesterday. It looked so pretty I just had to record it for you guys to see. Brandon and I have never lived where it snowed before so this was very exciting for us.
I finally gave into fake flowers as you can see on my side table. I fot them on sale for like 2 bucks along with my wreath on my door. The picture of the pumpkins was before some animal took a big hunk out of the side of the small orange one. Looks like Dishu's not the only wiesel in the nieghborhood!
Well Brandon and I had alot of fun yesterday driving up to the Stanley Hotel and taking the ghost tour of the place. We drove to Estes Park which was about two houres away which was a pretty easy drive. It is just a short ways from Boulder. The drive through the mountains is really easy too. It isn't like driving through the mountains in Ca where your way high up on the side of a mountain. IKt isn't scary at all. Your pretty much just driving down allong the base of the mountain. It was a pretty drive too. The hotel is known for the shining and really being haunted. But the moving the shining wasn't actually filmed there at all. But Stephen King did base his book off of it after he and his wife stayed there alone in the hotel for a night. The mini series Stephen Kings did for television was filmed there. Also my favorite ghost hunters episode was filmed there. And while we were looking at one of the rooms they where investigating we all saw this ghost of a little boy sitting in the corner of the room. It happened really fast but most of us saw it. It was crazy! Just kidding! That would of been cool though. Sorry pictures will be added later, there is a problem uploading right now.
So yesterday Brandon and I drove up to Estes Park in the Mountains to visit the haunted Stanley Hotel that the book the shining inspired. It was also featured in a live investigation on the Scifi show Ghost Hunters. The ghost tour was fun and very long so we felt like we got our moneys worth. Also the view of the mountains was so beautiful and the weather this weekend just happened to be perfect. The drive there was really nice too. Once we got home we watched the Ghost Hunters investigation on DVD that we had picked up at the hotel, very spooky!!!
